5:00 am – Hotel to kayak dock transfer
Your Sunrise Kayak Titicaca begins with pickup from your hotel in Puno city and 15-minute car transfer to Isla Esteves kayak launch delivered by one of our friendly drivers.
Meet with your kayak tour guide at the dock, listen to his safety briefing, and get fitted with your spray skirt and a personal floatation device.
5:20 am – Kayaking Lake Titicaca
Uros sunrise kayak tour
Sit in your kayak and launch just before twilight into the stillness of the morning to catch the sunrise and all the wildlife activity that begins with the cresting of the sun.
You’ll paddle in the serenity to enjoy a spectacular color changing in the sky as the dawn light reflects off the clouds and the water.
You’ll love watching how the sun hits the horizon lighting up the waterway, reed floating Islands and the surrounding Capachica and Chucuito peninsulas.
You’ll love paddling on calm, bright, and flat water. Conveniently, you’ll be arriving at the reed floating Uros Islands just before the rest of the conventional boat tours.

7:00 am – Meet the locals at their Reed Island
Breakfast at Uros Island
As a complimentary activity you’ll disembark on the reed Island and encounter the friendly locals, learn from your guide about the process of building their reed houses. If there is any chance to contribute the family, you might like to purchase their reed souvenirs (really optional).
7:40 am – kayaking back to Puno
You’ll be kayaking across the clear open side of Chimu community shoreline, Southern Puno city, through a peaceful and quiet landscape.
On arrival at the Chimu kayak dock, meet up again with your driver and head back to your hotel on a 20-minute car ride.
