7:00 am From your hotel to kayak dock
Your friendly driver will meet you at your hotel/airbnb in Puno city and take you to the Isla Esteves kayak launch place on a 15-minute car ride.
Upon arrival, find the kayak equipment and get in it right away after a brief explanation about the route.
You’ll paddle from Isla Esteves hotel down side through marshes of Totora reeds toward the still well-kept traditional reed Islands.
8:30 am Kayaking at Uros floating Islands
Kayaking at Uros
Your guide will take you through the waterway, going through the reed carpeted section on your way to the Uros floating Islands, located within Lake Titicaca National Reserve 50-min by kayak.
Upon arrival you’ll see a real floating village: a Kinder Garden, an elementary school, a floating church and much more.
You’ll get a clue insight about the incredible history, origin and way of life of the men of the Lake living pretty much as their ancestors did while visiting on one of them.
You’ll encounter with the local family and learn a little bit more about their life style.
9:30 am Uros to Taquile Island by Speed Boat
Taquile speed boat tour
Following this unique experience, you’ll be transferred by a small engine boat from the first reed floating Island to the second commercial crowded place to onboard the group speed motor boat for Taquile Island ride.
Your kayak guide introduces you to your new group guide for Taquile Island tour. The boat navigation will take 1 hour 30 minutes from Uros to Taquile Island across the blue horizon of the highest navigable Lake in the world.
11:00 Hiking Taquile Island

Your new group guide will lead you through the stone paved trail to the restaurant, along the way you’ll enjoy a gorgeous landscape and learn about its fascinating tradition.
Taquile is very well-known by its art textile and men’s knitting skills. The group guide explains about the process of washing the wool with natural herbs and the weaving meaning before or after lunch.
Lunch in Taquile Island
You’ll have a descend Quinua soup, grilled trout or vegetable omelet as the main course and hot Andean mint tea for lunch.
2:30 pm Taquile to Uros Islands by speed motor boat
The group fast motor boat trip will come to an end when you are dropped off at the Adventist Island, from where your private kayak guide will be waiting for you.
You’ll do a final paddle from Uros back to Puno through a water channel and looking at how the sun sets over Puno hills and the Lake.
You’ll be picked up again by your driver and get transferred to your hotel by car.
