10:00 am Hotel to kayak launching place
Tasting the reeds
You’ll get a 20-minute car transfer from your downtown hotel to Chimu kayak launching place.
Meet with your guide at the lake shoreline, listen to his safety briefing and get all your gear.
10:30 am Kayaking on the world’s highest Lake
Lake Titicaca Kayaking
You’ll start kayaking from an off the beaten and genuine gem side of Lake Titicaca National Reserve. You’ll paddle on a clean water and enjoy the view of the surrounding maze of reeds, Mountains and local birds.
After one hour, you’ll arrive and disembark at the Lake Titicaca’s premier attraction, the floating Islands of the Uros people (the world’s most innovative feats of human engineering).

Your guide provides a natural and cultural history interpretation of the floating islanders’ innovation that begins with the Islands’ most basic and vital components: the Totora roots and reeds.
Get up close and personal with the local family’s handicrafts and embroideries. You’ll marvel at their simple ingenuity that lives on to this day.
